PipeArt Entstehungsgeschichte

Vor einigen Jahren habe ich eine meiner über Jahrzehnte skizzierten Ideen in die Tat umgesetzt: Eine Wandskulptur aus Kunst-Stoff Kabelschutzrohren, die ich mechanisch und thermisch verformt, in einer Ebene angeordnet und abschließend mit Eisenglimmerlack beschichtet habe. Auch wenn es mir damals noch nicht klar war: damit war der Geist aus der Flasche. Dieser Geist setzte in mir einen Prozess in Bewegung, den ich nicht mehr stoppen kann aber auch nicht möchte. Der Umgang mit dem Kunst-Stoff, vorwiegend aus Rohrmaterial, und die Möglichkeiten, damit kreativ zu sein, faszinieren mich enorm. Mittlerweile hat dieser Prozess eine Eigendynamik entwickelt. Ein Projekt schafft, einer Kettenreaktion gleich, Impulse für viele weitere. Mechanische, thermische Bearbeitungsverfahren, verbunden mit chemischen Prozessen, die den Kunst-Stoff wie Stahl, Kupfer oder Bronze erscheinen lassen, bieten grenzenlose Möglichkeiten. Beschichtungen mit Farben, Mineralien etc. erweitern das Spektrum ins Unendliche. PipeArt war geboren.

Mit der kreativen Metamorphose des nüchternen Industriewerkstoffs Kunst-Stoff möchte ich ästhetische, farbenfrohe, freundliche Kunst erschaffen. Der Zugang für den Betrachter soll beschwingt und unkompliziert sein.

PipeArt genesis

A few years ago, I realised one of the ideas I had been sketching for decades: a wall sculpture made of synthetic cable protection pipes, which I mechanically and thermally deformed, arranged in one plane and then coated with micaceous iron oxide paint. Even if I didn't realise it at the time, the genie was out of the bottle. This spirit set a process in motion in me that I can no longer stop, nor do I want to. Working with synthetic, mainly pipe material, and the possibilities of being creative with it fascinate me enormously. In the meantime, this process has developed a momentum of its own. Like a chain reaction, one project creates impulses for many others. Mechanical, thermal processing methods, combined with chemical processes that make synthetic look like steel, copper or bronze, offer limitless possibilities. Coatings with colours, minerals etc. extend the spectrum to infinity. PipeArt was born.

With the creative metamorphosis of the sober industrial material synthetic, I want to create aesthetic, colourful, friendly art. The approach for the viewer should be lively and uncomplicated.

Was gibt es Alltäglicheres als z.B. ein Kunst-Stoff--Rohr? Bei PipeArt wird durch die Umgestaltung der banale Ausgangsstoff sozusagen vom „Staub des Alltäglichen befreit“, der Blick wird frei auf das Neue, Schöne, die Seele des Betrachters erfreut sich am nunmehr zu Tage tretenden Kunst-Werk.

„Technisches Wissen, langsame und überlegte Arbeit, das sieht natürlich nicht so schön aus wie die Inspiration, das macht wenig Effekt; aber doch sind hier die einzigen Grundlagen der Kunst.

What could be more mundane than a synthetic pipe, for example? With PipeArt, the banal raw material is freed from the ‘dust of the everyday’, so to speak, through the transformation, the view is freed to the new, the beautiful, the soul of the viewer enjoys the work of art that now comes to light.
